Bluffers Beach in Summer

Image
Canadians love their summers. Short and hot, we like to get outdoors and find ways to stay cool, active, and enjoy nature. This is also true of those living in Toronto.  For those who cannot leave the city to enjoy cottage country or other fabulous nature areas in Ontario, the beaches along Lake Ontario are the next best thing.  Social Distancing Toronto has many great beaches along the shores of the great lake where temperatures are usually cooler. This has proven to be a bit of a problem during the opening phases of Covid-19 lockdown. News headlines are calling out those enjoying the beach for risking the spread of the virus. As a result, the beaches are patrolled to ensure social distancing is maintained.  Bluffers Beach  Bluffers Beach is a jewel in the city of Toronto. Summer Walks in Taylor Creek Park

Image
Flat trail with a river, marsh, and forest The park connects many neighbourhoods and parks. During the Covid-19 Lockdown, the Taylor-Creek Trail parking lots were closed, essentially making it a park for locals only. Our Duty Then came the daily updates from our Prime Minister, Premier, and Mayor. And their message was clear: we all must stay home to help flatten the curve. By staying home and isolating from others, we'll be able to avoid getting the virus and passing it on to others. Isolation is Hard It's hard to isolate. Humans are social beings, and it's unnatural to be alone. And some people think the situation is overblown and don't think they will cause harm. In any case, we now have many infected people, and the rules are getting stricter. Dog Parks are Closed As of now, all playgrounds, dog parks, and other city amenities are closed. If you are caught using these shared spaces, you could be fined. Some of the rules may not make sense, but if it helps save lives, it...
